The GAT-II® Fixed Wing is a multifunctional flight trainer that emulates the performance of a Generic, aircraft in a realistic flight environment. This unique trainer combines the capability to support training in basic flight, instrument navigation, and spatial disorientation, in the same training program.

The GAT-II Fixed Wing is the economical airplane pilot training solution, combining affordable purchase price, low operation and maintenance costs and capability for high utilization. Realism, multi-functionality, interactivity and economy make GAT-II Fixed Wing the unequalled training system solution for your professional pilot training program needs.

Why is Spatial Disorientation Training critical for my pilots?

Providing spatial disorientation training as part of a flight training program, supports an integrated, systematic approach to optimizing the pilot's effectiveness and safety. The spatial disorientation illusion training provided with the GAT-II utilizes 14 automated training profiles. The pilot is an interactive participant throughout each profile.

During a flight, the pilot can be exposed to a variety of selected disorienting illusions. The pilot has full control of the flight before, during and after the disorienting illusion. During the profile, the pilot is required to recognize the illusion, reprioritize cockpit tasks and maintain control of the aircraft.

The profile ends with a narration explaining what illusion has occurred, why the illusion occurred, and recommended actions to avoid and /or manage the illusion. This capability creates a fully interactive learning environment since the pilot must maintain control of the simulator and fly through the illusion to a successful resolution during his/her training.
