ETC Presents Signature Technology™ at 2010 ITEC (International Training and Education Conference) Show

Southampton, PA, May 12, 2010 —Environmental Tectonics Corporation (OTC-Bulletin Board-ETCC) (“ETC” or the “Company) today announced that Ken Ginader, Business Development Director for Tactical Flight Training Systems, will introduce the rapidly advancing topic of Signature Technology™ in flight simulators at a 2010 ITEC break out session titled, Air Operations Training.


A key objective (and significant challenge) of ground flight simulators has been to replicate as closely as possible the actual experience of flying a high performance jet aircraft, i.e., replicating the frequency signatures of specific aircraft. ETC has introduced its new Signature Technology™ to more directly emulate the specific tendencies of an individual aircraft, thus increasing the fidelity of training exercises. Ken’s presentation will include the following areas:


A discussion of how Signature Technology™ promotes accuracy in replication of the vehicle’s natural frequency and system bandwidth; the performance parameters that give a specific aircraft its signature and how those criteria are replicated in a simulator; how the signature frequency of a given aircraft affects pilot training; the need for simulators to address the questions of how a specific aircraft actually flies, how it is controlled, how fast it responds and how quickly it can change, etc.; and, is it possible to replicate the unique variable “G” onset and offset rates?


This pilot focused session will incorporate signature frequency specific elements as they are integrated into various flight profiles. Ginader will show how ETC Signature Technology™ more adequately prepares a pilot for real world flying and combat.


Ken Ginader is the Business Development Director for Tactical Flight Training Systems of Environmental Tectonics Corporation, the manufacturer of the ATFS-400 Phoenix motion-based human motion system (centrifuge).


Ken Ginader’s Profile:
Kenneth L. Ginader is a retired U.S. Navy Captain. He served in three operational flying tours in the F-14 TOMCAT, including Commanding Officer of Fighter Squadron 21, and two operational staff tours in Carrier Strike Group Staffs. Captain Ginader also served as an instructor at the Navy Fighter Weapons School, TOP GUN. He gained valuable acquisition experience as the Joint Strike Fighter Requirements Officer on the Chief of Naval Operations staff. In his final assignment he served as the Vice Commandant of the Air Force Institute of Technology (AFIT). Ken Ginader has a B.S. Aerospace Engineering from The University of Virginia, and a Masters of Strategic Studies from Air War College.
