The Integrated Avionics Maintenance Trainer (IAMT) is the most technologically advanced, hands-on avionics maintenance trainer in the world. First line maintenance professionals can develop critical diagnostic skills, practice component level repair and checkout procedures in this high fidelity device. The result is a much higher level of technician proficiency that is gained in significantly less time.
Advanced computer programming allows the instructor to program a simulated systems fault in real time. The trainee is then required to diagnose the fault and repair it. The system is portable and provides an excellent learning opportunity while avoiding the need to take a valuable aircraft off the flight line to support training. |
| The IAMT is comprised of a Single Seat Cockpit Module (SSCM), Avionics System Equipment Module (ASEM), and a Simulation Control Computer (SCC). |
