ETC's Aircrew Training Systems Group got it's start in 1971, just two short years after the official beginning of the company. The Aircrew Training Systems Group's product line was the first to be developed, and marketed both domestically and internationally.
Some of ETC's first products were its high altitude training chambers, specifically designed and developed at the request of the United States Navy for a requirement they had.
Finding that there were other requirements the United States Navy needed fulfilling, ETC and it's aircrew training systems group began to look in to how they could meet the request for motion-based, flight simulation equipment. Early and fervent efforts in R & D, yielded rudimentary, motion based flight simulators. These early prototypes would become the maiden iterations of ETC's current motion-based, flight simulation equipment.
Between the development of those early iterations of motion based, flight simulation equipment, coupled with the increased production of the high altitude training chambers, the Company again began looking at other outstanding needs within the area of pilot training. The identification of several additional training needs arose, giving rise to the development of yet several more complementary pilot training systems.
Through the continuance of strong research and development practices, progress forges ahead with ETC deftly continuing to produce the most technologically advanced aircrew training systems available, such as in the case of its newly launched tactical motion-based, Authentic Tactical Fighting Systems (ATFS) product line.
ETC is honored to provide the aviation market with the most cutting edge systems available by applying the most advanced engineering and manufacturing techniques to each project from start to finish in their ISO 9000 facility!
With aircrew training systems installed and operational in over 50 countries, ETC is the world leader in simulated aircrew training!
